I removed the large hedge in front of the main window as it blocked all natural light from coming into the living room.  From there I was able to provide the client privacy with an airy fence, made of wood, steel rope and Mexican Palo Verde trees planted on the street side of the fence.

The large concrete pavers and gravel made an area that could be used for patio furniture if desired.  The pennisetum grasses are soft and inviting, with moderate water needs and minimal maintenance.
